Ok been trying to learn how to post pictures.
I was mistaken and the action is a 1947 model. I am no Winchester guru so please bear with me. This gun started out as a 300 H&H and was barrelled a couple of years later. According to records it is wearing the sixth stock in it's life. The reason for wanting a different stock is to not risk the current stock by shooting the gun. A little more info is this gun is no safe queen ,it has been used on a lot of hunts by Hal Waugh. It is in fact his famous "Big Nan".
