I'd let the bad guy come to me. It doesn't matter how good your gun skills are if you don't have a ballistic vest (I don't) and the bad guy gets lucky (or is good). I'm staying behind the bed with the G19 and Benelli M2 with the 500 lumen Surefire forearm.
But what if your long arm is on the other side of a warehouse and you have to "fight your way to a real weapon?"
