I have been a member since 02 & am 73 so perhaps that makes me an old timer. In the early days members were far more cordial & helpful. Today there are some members that have nothing of value to post on a given subject so they make a smart a$$ remark, call someone stupid, or make some other disparaging remark. I suppose its typical of social media (which I despise) posters. Obviously, it now includes some on he Fire. With the advent of the Internet a$$holes have learned that they can say anything they please & it's impossible to be bitch slapped. I have read some really obnoxious posts on the Fire in recent years. I still work, hunt & fish less, & spend a lot of time as chair of one of the Wounded Warrior/Disabled Vets Committees in the DC area & have no interest in dealing with some of the a$$holes now on the Fire. I rarely post any more & stay away from the controversies.
