a 357 SUPERMAG made from a 300Sav would work with a cartridge guide change,

take a 300 case and neck it to 357 or a 308 and run it shorter more brass to work with .
either neck with a shoulder or tapered like a 32-40 or 38-55.
tapered case might work for those few states that demand a pistol cartridge or a non neck cartridge .
Naturally a necked case with a shoulder will hold more powder,more bang,
just a few thoughts either way you can use a 300 sav with a slight rechamber and rebore
