The 123gn bullet ( SST mostly) has been the most used bullet for hunting on the Grendel forum with a great number of kills for the Grendel. This is a thread on the knockdown effectiveness of the Grendel where the combined experience of the forum has been collated into a graph with updates as the thread progresses. I have taken quite a few animals with my own rifle and can honestly attest to its effectiveness. It will kill well past where the 7.62x39 would ever be used at.
