Thanks a lot for the offer, I really do appreciate it. But, I just put an order through midway for a decelerator pad for it and I'll try that before I make a stock change. I LOVE how utilitarian this rifle is, not much to worry about while hunting. I have it topped w/ a leu 2-7x that compliments it nicely.
Qhorse, sorry about that I forgot about this post and didn't check back in. Sounds like you you've already made the commitment to try it. I picked up a small 90 sec 2 part epoxy and used it to install the pad to the plate. Just go slow and it's pretty easy to figure out. One thing I would say is have everything ready BEFORE you squeeze out the 2 part epoxy as 90 seconds maybe liberal. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Don't ask how I know. Also did a Ruger Lam stock for my son's 300 WM and an R-3 recoil pad at the same time. Epoxy is your friend. Good luck it does make a diference.
