A quick scan of the Marlin 30AS and Glenfield 30 on GB should give you an idea what they are selling for.

IIRC, the Marlin 30AS is the same a the Glenfield 30, a 336 with stained hardwood (birch?) stock and forearm and the front sight is installed via a barrel dovetail, rather than a ramp, that sold at a lower price. I also think that some of the Marlin 30AS have an "end-cap" style forearm, while others has a barrel band style forearm.

I recently paid $250 for a very nice J.C. Penney Model 3040, a house-brand version of the 30AS. Depending on the condition and the brand of base and rings, I would think that somewhere around $500 would be a fair price with a 2-7x Leupold.

PS - If you have a 2-7x Leupold in the VX2 style that is "as old as you", you must not be very old, as the VX2s were introduced in 2012.

IIRC, the sequence of Leupold 2-7x variables progressed like this:
Vari-X, Vari-X II, Vari-X IIc (1984-2001), VX-I & II (2001-2011), and VX-1 & 2 (2012 - current).
