I weighed the FDE tupperware stock on a postal scale today at work. With the trigger guard and magazine included, it weighed 31 ounces. Without the magazine it weighed 28.5 ounces.
The factory rifle with talley lightweights and a 3-9x33 UL Leupy weighs 6 lbs 8 oz.
I was surprised how much the stock alone weighed. The barreled action feels really light, but the whole rifle all together doesnt "feel" as light as I'd thought it would.
The fit of the stock to the action is not very good, I realize that its a Savage and not some custom rig, but a fair gap under the tang and the barrel not centered in the channel.....meh.
I haven't wrung it out yet, but the accuracy on the first range session was ho hum. Inch and a half or so for 5 rounds. On the other hand, the recoil was very tame considering it's such a lightweight.
