For what it's worth I took my 25-06 that I got "because it was there" out this year for the first time in the woods - 2 shots, 2 deer, no tracking, no wasted meat. I've used a 6mm and 30-06 in the past, so I knew the 25-06 would do just fine, but I was impressed with it's simple effectiveness.
