He is a very good player, but with the size of rosters that there are today, it always amazes me that the announcers act like each team only has one person capable of playing a given position.

Times were much better when there were people like Earl Morrall, Gary Cuozzo, Zeke Bratkowski, Billy Kilmer, etc. who could step in and keep things going.

Of course back then, there were all sorts of candy-asses like Ray Nitschke, Gino Marchetti, Ernie Stautner, Doug Atkins, and Chuck Bednarik who played with sleeves. wink


Why do they need the SuperBowl and a champion? They have divisions and conferences; winning one of those should be enough. In the end, just let the fans vote for who is the best each season, right?
