They don't make them anymore, and I don't remember them ever being plentiful.

While I'll agree that the gun auctions are not comparable to real world prices, I haven't seen one in the wild for at least 10 years, probably 15. So, there you have the dilemma. When it's an uncommon firearm you have to be patient enough to wait for one (which may never happen), or pay the piper.

You wouldn't get mine for those prices. I was offered 1250.00 for mine about 7 years ago. I said "no thank you" without hesitation. And got a "don't blame you" as a response. If I saw one for under 1000.00 I would be surprised.
