Somehow it had escaped me that the Win 92 was never available in .45 Colt. The .357 and .44 I can understand. They came along much later. But the .45 was there long before the 92 came about. I expect it had more to do with the fact that it was a proprietary cartridge of colt than a shortfall of the rifle design.

I have never seen an issue feeding the straight wall cases in clones and conversions.

And, as for the 94 in .45. I have not had a problem either, but I have frequently heard complaints. It sure is a sloppy and noisy feeder with handgun cartridges. It is clearly not what they had in mind for that action, but I like mine just the same and don't plan on parting with them any time soon.
