For a 2017 current production duty revolver, I'd take a 4" or likely 6" GP100, or a pre-lock S&W 686.

If a time machine is involved, then the following;
1) 5" M24
2) 5" M27
3) 4" M29
4) 4" M57
5) M25 cut to 5"

Off duty would still be a Colt 1911 variant.
