My ground is not good for an early garden. Not sandy enough, but holds moisture well later in the year. The March winds will come along and dry it out in a few days and it will work up real good. Early on it is kinda gummy even when dry enough to work. I do work it up in the fall and plant a cover crop of mixed greens. I eat some, and the deer eat some but since I have bees, for the first time, I let them flower. miles
