It's as bad as some of the steelhead and salmon streams I waded in PacNW. All the rocks are mossy and lots of deep holes with sudden drops offs. The idiots in MD DNR have banned felt soles on waders (but apparently greenstick fractures are A-OK eek ) wading staff and very careful.

I've heard amazing things about these http://www.patagonia.com/product/ultralight-river-crampons/79196.html but I just can't seem to pull the trigger on them for a stream I fish 3-4 times a year.
