They outlawed the felt here a few years ago, too. Completely asinine! The science was not done and the one study they used was deeply flawed and panned when peer-reviewed... POST creating a huge fuss with multiple states banning felt as a result.
Seems the phosphates in laundry detergent had a bigger effect on didimo and other growths of concern and the chances of felt soles carrying them while laces and waders did not is utterly ridiculous.
