I need round nose bullets to feed correctly in my 6.5 Mannlicher. The way the feed ramp is cut, the spitzer shape misses the chamber because the nose of the bullets themselves determine the feed angle, not the brass shell. I am told my a few friends in Germany and Austria that all the early 6.5X54 M/S rifles were made that way. I guess they were right. I tried a few different spitzers and none of them will feed, not even one round. The RN Hornady bullets feed like water going through a funnel.

In the USA the ONLY RN 6.5MM bullet made anymore is the Hornady 160 gr, and they only make them on a limited basis. Sierra discontinued theirs.
So I am keeping my eyes and ears open for other bullets of heavy weight and with round nose points.
