My current "go to" backpacking rifle is a T/C Venture in 25-06. It wears a Leupold VX-3 4.5x14x40 CDS scope and they are guaranteed by the Mfg to be MOA accurate right out of the box. Mine produces groups a little smaller. Rifle, Scope & sling, with an empty magazine, weigh 7.3#. I know that's not ultralight, but it's less than the T/C Icon Weathershield 30-06 that I use to carry.
