While living in Missouri, there was an old black guy and his son who would come by, as they picked up post construction
clean up garbage, and recycled it and took it to the dump. He was a real religious man as was his son.

They ran a 67 Chevy 1 1/2 ton flat bed they have built a box on, and a 68 Ford F 250 Flat Bed with the 300 Six in it.
The Chevy had a good old 327 in it.

Got both used, but they would love to talk about their vehicles when asked. Each had well over 500K on them,
on the original engines, which have never been overhauled. At the time they were 20 years old., as this was back in
1988 when I lived in Missouri for a year.

They fired the trucks up at 6 am every morning, and shut them down at 6 PM at night. Brooker felt turning them off
and on wore an engine out... so these trucks pretty much stayed on 12 hours a day.....

Every Saturday they got the oil changed with NAPA 30 wt, and a new NAPA Oil filter.

I use to joke to Brooker that his truck engines were long past worn out, he just never turned them off long enough for
the Truck to figure that fact out. The reward would be his Uncle Remus Laugh.... him and his son were two of the most
down to earth finest men you ever could meet.

But he'd tell ya, the secret is don't turn them off when there was work to be done.
