The Mauser 2000, 3000, and 4000 series of rifles were manufactured by Heym at their Muennerstadt, West Germany factory, for Mauser. To my knowledge, most of them were marketed in the USA by a company called Mauser Bauer. After the contract with Mauser expired, Heym made some changes to the rifles and marketed them under the Heym name as the SR-20 series.

Mauser and JP Sauer rifles are owned by the same company that owns Blaser rifles. They are all made in Isny, Germany. The barrels for all 3 brands are made in the same room at the factory. This company also owns John Rigby & Co. in London.
