The TD option was added at around 70,000 but I don't think the TD H was anymore common that other models with the TD option,. Then the .22HP was added and it was only produced in the TD H version. Being a big seller, after that it makes the TD H the most common version. Even for a short time after WWI, Savage opted to produce the H in only the TD version which became the more common 99-F with fewer of the 99-E's (solid frame) produced.
