Found a pre 64 model 70 standard in 30-06 for $650.
Would say it's an 80% gun with pad. Not concerned about collector value as much as huntability.
What I want is a somewhat heavy rifle for stand hunting deer, not mountain hunting.
Is $650 a good price?
What type of accuracy should I reasonably expect?
Not bad buy assuming no throat erosion, sharp rifling w/o rust and crown in good shape.
