Since the hurricane my registered bull has probably lost 300 pounds.

He got gimpy and I thought he was going to die.

Called a friend about him, and he said he lost a bull day before yesterday to the same stuff...

Stress from the storm combined with mosquitoes and heat.

Talked to the vet today and he said the same thing. Bulls get taken down really quick by the conditions and mosquitoes. He's doctored several bulls in the past couple of days. Half died.

I have him in the pen feeding him up now. Beef developer sweet feed, hay and rest and shade. Hope I got to him in time to save him. Guess we'll know in a few days. I was half expecting to find him dead this morning when I checked him.

Gave him a B Complex vitamin shot too. He managed to kick the snot out of me when I stuck him with the needle... whistle

Didn't kick him back. Hell, I don't like needles either.

Thought I'd mention this because we are still in hurricane season, and others are going to be going through the same thing. Maybe it'll save someone's bull.
