I may end up selling him anyway.
He's only 6 years old, but it's hard to bring them back from something like this, and keep them as a trusted herd bull. Hate to lose him, as he;s gentle as a dog. I can walk right up to him in the pasture any time.
We tend to sell them off at 4-5 years old. They get too big and can cripple up young/old cows, that and they lose all fear and become dangerous to handle. Just not worth it.
And canner bulls are still around $1/lb so why not.
But these are range bulls not pets.
