Why would you want to limit your options with a half ton pickup?
We have a F-350 diesel pickup for pulling big stuff with. The only thing I currently pull with my truck is a trailer to haul my UTV on, and a 14 foot gooseneck horse trailer. If we didn't have the 350 to use, I'd get a 250. Although, with my current truck, a 2005 F-150 with a 5.4, I've pulled a 25 foot gooseneck that was loaded pretty good, more than once, along with a 20 foot cattle trailer full of cows. I wouldn't do it anymore, since I have a better option, but a half ton truck can do a lot.
