I've only used that same bullet on an animal once. I don't know if this was the fault of the bullet or just the luck of the draw. A buck was quartering toward me at about 100 yds. I shot him in the point of the shoulder but the bullet didn't penetrate there. It slid under the hide across the shoulder and the full length of the rib cage before it entered behind the last rib. It hit something vital and he went down after running about 200 yds.
