I've got one that goes 7 lbs., 8 ozs. empty. It wears Ruger rings, which have been hollowed out, a hollowed out bolt knob and some other cuts. The barrel is a 24 inch Pac-Nor #1, with it's shoulder turned to minimum, but with a .600 dia . muzzle. It's a long action, chambered in .280. The stock weighs almost 2.5 lbs., a McMillian with graphite added.
It would weigh 22 ozs. less, or about 6 1/4 lbs., with an MPI Kevlar stock like the ones on my M70 Fwt. or my custom mauser '06'. Both stocks go 18 ozs. ready to bolt up. E
