Thanks for the info guys. I understand that it is not the smartest idea ever but I have an itch and like tang safety Rugers

I would love something like a montucky but they cost around $3000 around here. If I do decide to go ahead with this idea I will most definitely report back.

I still think a 'light' tang safety might be pretty cool!
