The original USS Texas (launched 1892) was sunk in Chesapeake Bay. The Texas at SJ is the second model built in 1912. I was able to spend the night when I was 10 on a Boy Scout trip, and they also took us to un-restored normally off-limits sections of the ship. Very cool.
