Back in 2004 I bought a new dodge 3/4 ton quad cab with cummins diesel engine.Price upgrade for the diesel motor was around $3,000 verses the gas motor,I opted for the diesel.I averaged 18.7 mpgs city/higway.Now with the $10,000 diesel eng. difference price tag on the new trucks plus the emissions bull chit (AKA )def fluid no brainer going gas motor unless you pull heavy on a weekly basis.
