One of mine is a stainless Win M70 with the barrel cut back to 21 1/2" and deeply fluted. Bedded in a Brown Pound'r stock with a 1.5-5X Leupold in Talley LW's goes 7 3/4#.

I would take a hard look at the Talkeetna.

Conduct is the best proof of character.
