Not sure if there are any Elk in that area, there used to be some on a farm between Jackson and Vicksburg. Just recently 2 men pled guilty to importing live white tails to a high fence operation in Lamar County that’s about 140 or so miles from where this case was found. Some of the deer they brought in from PA were from a herd known to have CWD.

Game and fish was asking for hunters in Lamar county to have their deer tested this season.
