I agree. The 28" barrel is too long, and the rifle a touch too heavy. I had mine cut back to 650mm (25.6"). However, I then had it threaded for a suppressor. :-) Threading is not something I think I could reasonably do with the 1A, but I most-prefer the Alexander Henry forend on the No.1 rifle, and while I've no particular intention to use such a gun with the irons, I prefer to have them there for whatever reason.
