The 20" Hybrid contour model will be just a hair heavier than the Government profile, but it adds weight where it counts (around the chamber toward the breech end of the barrel). What sort of maximum effective range are you looking at with this rifle? Most people are surprised that a 16" barrel can consistently take them out well beyond 700 yards with the right ammunition.
If weight reduction is the primary consideration I would consider shortening the barrel a bit rather than slimming down the profile. If long range shooting is the goal then a 20-24" will likely remain your best bet for the added velocity boost.
I have the 18" Hybrid, and it's a real shooter....My 16" government profile, not so much...
