Never used that lube, but as to the statement lube is lube, that's like saying accuracy is accuracy. My testing has shown the lube not only has an effect on how well or poorly your bore is protected from leading, it also has a huge effect on accuracy. I've seen the same bullet, same powder charge and same gun have groups quadruple in size from the lube the gun likes to the lube the gun hates. Do some testing to see how the lube works in your gun with your load.
To be fair, he is an older man who is set in his ways. He has been casting for almost 70 years. I was not going to say anything to him. That is why I asked if anyone here had heard of it.
