First off, why mess with a wildcat that will yield inferior performance. Custom Dies all cost you more than any feed work that may be required. When it comes to rebarreling in a different cartridge, nothing is ever a given despite all the slam dunk answers you hear.

That said, it is an easy conversion in the grand scheme of things and one that is well worth doing.

What you should pay attention to is the Magazine. The 62 is wider at the shoulder and your magazine should be adjusted accordingly so that your cartridges stack correctly. Failure to do so often results in only four down instead of five and can contribute to less than stellar feeding.
