My one experience with the ballistic silvertip in 270 was with the 130 grain version. I shot one largish whitetail buck, about 175 lbs dressed, if I recall, at 550 yards. Missed the range a touch long and managed to spine him. It left a 6" section of the spine turned to mush. Second shot when I closed the quarter mile was taken from 10 or so yards, liquefied everything in the chest cavity. I was happy with the performance, and the 150 can only be more better. Just shy away from bone.
