I hunted the early wooltimate pants from Cabela’s maybe 8 years ago. They did what I hoped they’d do; keeping me warm and relatively dry during a soaking wet and cold elk hunting season. I bought them mainly because they were washable. Unfortunately, I went the opposite direction in the weight gain dept as you. I gave them to a hunting pard who wears them for snow hunting. YMMV 😎
