I've backpack hunted in the Altra Lone Peak Neoshell Mid as well. There's a little less to it, lower stack height, which can be nice. There's more synthetic material so a little less durable in rocky country.
Thanks for the info. Looks like they're being discontinued, so the price drop makes them attractive. The updated version uses eVent instead of Neoshell and not sure if that's an issue or not. My use would be more for daily wear and hunting here, so rocks wouldn't be an issue. I'm a be concerned with the lack of stack/cushioning. I'm fat and not sure I'd like that much feel underfoot...
