The rifle weighs 11 pounds 9 ounces. It isn't light, but was never meant to be. These rifles were developed for competition matches and they did put an upper limit of weight on them, so you won't see light 77 rifles. They made less than 100 of them originally. The wood is 3X extra fancy American Walnut. It isn't easy to find that kind of figure in American Walnut...
