LGS got a Single Six in today.
New Model blued (pre warning).
Somebody asked about the holster.....shop was gonna send the gun back to Ruger.
Asked about it.......said make me an offer, so I did.
Not great but not horrible.........looking for a kinda sorta beater trapline rig.
This only has .22 mag cylinder.
Hammer would not stay fwd. Hmmmm.
Popped grips off and somebody had a home made pin stuck in the mainspring strut.
Hammer and punch got that out. Hammer works like it should.
Cylinder free spins.
Tore it all apart...........latch spring is mangled, no plunger.
Also pawl plunger and spring were in backwards.....so need a new spring there too (also mangled).
While not a smoking deal, I'll have it cleaned up and running for under $175.
Perfect to toss in the truck console.
Wish I was running a trap line again.
Ideally get a Bearcat w adj sights, but they're pricey. This was pretty cheap IMHO.
