It worked pretty good on this moose. Old 275 grain Hornady round nose. Didn't recovered the bullet. Called him in to about 30-35 yards. The way he was coming I 'm pretty sure I could have waited and he would have been in my lap. My 35 hasn't gotten a lot of use in recent years since I built my 400 Whelen. This year I hunted with a different rifle every day since I was day hunting from home. It happened to be 35 Whelen day. I love my 400 Whelen but I could be happy if the 35 Whelen was my only big game rifle.
