I bought a pair of Ruger 77 Stainless Mk2, in 260 back in the early 2000s.... The stainless only came with the Zytel Stock. Each one I paid less than $300 for, brand new in the box...
Local store had each of them.... got them for cheap as they had been on the shelves for a year or more.
anyone who looked at them, would ask WTF is a 260 Rem?
no one knew around here... but I did, so that is why I got them both for less than the $300...
one got a Boyd's laminate stock...
I use to by the Stainless Rugers with a Zytel stock because they were cheaper than the laminate stock model. I'd replace them with the grey laminate Boyd's stock.... I use to give away the Zytel stocks, as I hated them... only have two of them anymore.
gave away about 10 of them for free, most of them going to campfire members.
