Speaking of wages. Here in E Oregon, about the least expensive place in the country to live, my employer is in dire need of an Orego licensed journeyman electrician. Over the last nine months they have gotten a few nibbled. One guy even worked for three months, but had the almighty gall to move on for $5/hr better wages and closer to home. The ugrateful bastard.

They have finally raised the offer to $30, free insurance, great insurance by the way, two weeks vaca to start, company pension, 20% match on up to 6% of your wage on 401k, and still no takers.

People gotta learn, you gotta pay decent wages to get decent employees.

We are paying $16/hr for starting wages on the line to stack boxes on a pallet. With the same bennies as stated above. And we get crap employees for crap wages.

People who choose to brew up their own storms bitch loudest about the rain.
