Have shot a couple of black bear with the 260 gr Nosler Accubond, over 69 grains of Reloader 15, from my 375 H&H Ruger Number One.
Excellent accuracy and excellent performance on game. Recoil is surprisingly mild, more like a big push than a harsh whack. However I suspect your Rem 700 might be lighter than my Ruger? Not sure.
Have also seen good accuracy with several different 300 gr bullets over enough H4350 to get around 2550 fps. Haven't taken any game with the 300 gr bullets though.
Except for one poor rockchuck with a 300 gr SPBT Sierra...
