IMO, what we need in addition to a TALL fence is the resurrection of the old Frontier BN of our Ranger Service to apprehend the CRIMINALS who enter our State.
(I for just one landowner, though our farm is in Northeast TX, am sick to death of trespassers, who steal everything in sight, trash the property & then move on.)
Generally, the closer your farm/ranch is to the border, the BIGGER mess that you have.

I recently talked to a rancher from JIM WELLS COUNTY, who put out game cameras around his stock-watering tanks to see what sort of wildlife was visiting the area. - In addition to a numerous birds, a few WT deer, raccoons, a few javalina & a ringtail, his cameras caught photos of well over 150 ILLEGALS filling their water bottles out of his tanks in less than 48 hours.

In 2018 someone even stole a cattle-guard off of our farm.
(A rural mail carrier found a man grinding our cattle brand off of the cattle-guard & called the county SD, so we got it back but it was a PITA nonetheless.)
