Now I'm wondering if H03 means it was made in 2003. I know I was buying Russian 7.62x39 throughout the 1980s, 1990s, and early 2000s. Not exactly sure now when I bought these. I still have some from the 1980s somewhere, but they are in blue boxes, whereas these are natural cardboard color.
My guess is the "H03" is most likely the lot number rather than the year of manufacture.
