I have a 1.1-4x24 in Warne mounts on a 20" one. This combination has been on many years and no issues.
I have a 23.5" one currently with Alaska Arms ring and a 1.5-8x42. This rifle has had 1.1-4, 1.5-6, and now the 1.5-8. I do like the larger objectives and 6x in lower light.
The Alaska Arms rings are my favorites. I have them on several Ruger rifles.
