A German bayonet made into a trench-knife that my Uncle Jack, late of the USMC, brought home from WWI. - About 40 years ago, I asked where he got it & he said simply: "I bought it off a fellow in France." & said nothing more. = He was a "mostly silent" sort of country gentleman.
