Reading comments ,about shooting as they are driving away is a bag deal. When does the ,you are no longer in danger take effect? As I understand , defending yourself, you can defend yourself as long as you think you are in danger. She had just been held at gun point, her car taken , she had her child with her. What is to say they would not have turned around and shot her and her child. So she was still in danger. 1/2 of a good shoot. Good on her.
It depends on state law. I don't know about FL. Here in Idaho, we have the right to defend our property, not just ourselves.
